Month of Thanks: Day 11

So thankful for all the Veterans in my life--I am surrounded daily by courageous men and women who are willing to sacrifice so much in order to protect the lives of others, who leave behind their own families and loved ones to secure justice and liberty for those who are deprived of such basic human rights. I am fortunate to have come from a family of veterans, men who provided and continue to provide a positive example of patriotism to me and my generation. And of course, I am married to a veteran, a man who understands duty, honor, sacrifice, and who lives his life in service of others, asking for so little in return. Thanks to all who have served and continue to serve.
